SITE - HANKS HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING ROOM
Schedule -Tuesdays & Thursdays (Occasionally Wednesdays)
Time -Under 10 6:30 PM-7:45 PM Over 10 6:30 PM-8:15 PM Requirement: Wrestling shoes, T-shirt, shorts or sweats Please have you son wear his tennis shoes into Hanks and then change into his wrestling shoes.
We would like for wrestlers to attend all of the practices so they can work on perfecting the moves. We encourage all parents to attend the practice but we have rules in place to maximize our teaching time. Please follow them closely because we don’t want to close our practices.
•Only the coaches can coach. If you are interested in coaching your son or daughter, get with one of the coaches. Keep in mind your commitment is to the team not just your son.
•The only parents allowed to attend practice are those with a 4-7 year-old on the team, otherwise practice is closed to the parents.
•Pickup any mess you make in the wrestling room or the cafeteria. Hanks high school is kind enough to allow us to use the gym so take care of it.
•Take care of your kids. It is OK with the coaching staff for you to bring your children but they must be supervised.

What’s happening…
The 2009-10 will see major changes with the Wildcats. For the first time in our history we will be without coach Sergio Martinez. Coach Martinez contributed quite a bit to the Wildcats and he will be missed. His replacement will be Joseph Baca, a member of the first Wildcat team in 1997, who did an outstanding job last year assisting coach Sergio. With coach Baca's determination and dedication, the Wildcats will continue to dominate.
The older team is still headed by coach Louie Martinez and his outstanding assortment of assistants. As a group, they work well together and plan continuing the winning tradition. Team captains Alexander Jimenez, Trevor Rios and Jeremy Melendez will push this years team to the limit. With all of these young men working hard, we expect to see an outstanding representation at the state meet in February 2010 in Austin.
